A stark contrast from the terracotta tile, the aluminium tile is characterised by a vocabulary of clean lines and geometric forms. Inspired by the back of the otherwise factory produced vitrified tile, these tiles were created by casting the back of an ordinary vitrified tile. There is an interesting play of both materials and concept- the otherwise industrially produced object is now handmade. The grid like surface texture compliments the tile's mat silver finish. Designed uniquely for the powder bathroom in a Mumbai penthouse. The minimal tiles perfectly compliment the quirky artworks and ceramics in the powder room.
