CRYSTAL LAMP

2015

Characterised by a vocabulary of clean lines and geometric forms, the light appears minimal but is full of subtle details. Created using brass and a large piece of rock crystal it appears almost sculptural- with an added material play, the opaque brass and the translucent crystal. The arch of the ligth is a central element in Shah’s architectural practice and reappears in his body of work. Drawing inspiration from mid century masters like Le Corbusier and Etorre Sottsass, the light exudes an almost vintage meets contemporary feel.
