MANY MOON, KANSA.
2019
The celestial Kansa Sphere fragments itself into nine dinner table objects, grained with grey, cratered to hand made perfection. Two bowls, six trays and platter, orbit the collection from one 'moon’ to 'many’ moons.
This everyday object draws its inspiration from wabi-sabi with the rawness of the quarry and hand made quality of the dinnerware. A minimal sphere, that sits as a sculpture, slices itself to perform indispensable program, a dining experience for six.
