MOONSHADOW.
2019
A play of proportions within the composition, rises to form Iongpi, from the Ukhrul District of the Indian state of Manipur. Days of sun-bathing the hand moulded torm, burnished by plant seeds, sets it forth in a kiln before it ensues solid, yet fragile, blackened to calculation with Chirono leaves. A conformation of perfect imperfection.
MOONSHADOW N°5
A new addition to the moonshadow assemblage, this design object is a stouter accompaniment to its predecessors. Two bulbous, arched lengths, balance a carefully proportioned lingam that sits above it in a burnished black, fragile avatar, composed in ‘longpi,’ an art form crafted in stone and clay from the Ukhrul District, Manipur.
