Gravitating towards the geometry of an ellipse, ‘the lingam’ marries repetition through a stackable, perfectly-grained, hand-carved piece of tableware, ’The Raw Crystal Stambh’. Sculptural in form and purposeful to use, the set of four glasses perfectly fit into one another to create a delicate totem of a precious, rare crystal stone. The piece has dual functionality, a simple rotation can make these easy-to-grip design objects, perfect tea light holders, illuminating the natural crystal from within. Each glass heroes the material through simple form and impeccable detail, pairing hand-made processes with contemporary design, the foundational philosophy of ‘ The Atelier ,’ Ashiesh Shah.
